how important is draft control for implements like blades, box scrapers and mowers ? I'm looking at a L2800 with no draft control and I'm told none available.

Draft control is helpfull with implements such as a 3 point plow, but really not needed for any of the implements you listed. ....

Position control is all you really need for what you mentioned and if I'm not mistaken, the L2800 is equipped as such. ....

If you ever use your box blade with the ripper teeth down, you'll wish you had draft control.

Draft control is not available on the L-2800. Draft control is a great option for many makes of tractors and can even make snow removal with a back blade across a lawn a non-destructing thing. Some draft controls require a 20 percent load change for them to monitor a change some require as little as 5 to 10 percent load change and those are the ones worth having. Many used tractors today come in used with frozen levers from lack of use because the system wasn't worth it for the way it was built or because of lack of need. ....
